Madeline Murray, LCPC

I specialize in helping adolescents and adults navigate life’s challenges with empathy and understanding. I have extensive experience supporting individuals in managing their emotions, working through trauma, and strengthening family dynamics by engaging parents in their child’s therapeutic journey.

I work with a wide range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, trauma, mood disorders, grief and loss, attachment difficulties, and attention-related challenges. My approach is client-centered and strengths-based, providing a safe, nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, valued, and empowered.

I believe therapy should be a collaborative and creative process. By integrating your personal interests—such as art, music, and writing—I help you explore emotions, build self-awareness, and foster meaningful growth. My goal is to guide you toward authenticity, self-acceptance, and lasting change.

If you're looking for a supportive, engaging, and compassionate therapist, I would be honored to walk alongside you on your journey to healing.

My Story

I first dove into my love of psychology at Indiana University, where I learned many life lessons and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree.  Go Hoosiers! I earned my Master's Degree in Forensic Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, where I am currently an adjunct professor.  I began my career working in residential treatment with juveniles struggling with sexually problematic behavior.  I moved on to further apply my enthusiasm for working with individuals whose needs led to involvement with the justice system by working with adjudicated youths incarcerated with the Department of Juvenile Justice.  I was determined to use my therapeutic skills to reach a broader population, which led me to joining a therapy practice in Oak Park.  My determination to continue to work with a marginalized population while continuing to provide trauma informed care is vision that has led us to create Radiant Therapy and Wellness.   My rich experience has given me the opportunity to be trained in Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, EMDR, and Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy.

In my free time I love spending time with my two dogs, family, and friends.  I enjoy cooking, live music, crafting, travel, and scuba diving.  In working with me, you will sense my enthusiasm for life.
